Let
us start from the most common definition of the transition – it is a moving
effect which appears when you switch PowerPoint design slides from one to
another one while giving your presentation. This PowerPoint here is feature is very interesting
and useful. It gives us the opportunity to control the speed, to add different
sound files. In general you can customize all transition’s properties.
When
you start learning to use PowerPoint transitions, it is preferable to use Slide
tab. It will be much easier for you. Well, in the beginning you should choose
the PowerPoint slide see that
in the panel which is situated on the left hand. This panel consists of all
slides and outline tabs of your presentation. The transition will be applied as
soon as the chosen PowerPoint slide will be displayed. You should click
<Transitions- To This Slide> and then just click on the desirable
transition, which will be perfect for your presentation. There is also the
bottom called <More>. It allows us to have a bigger amount of
transitions.
As
all PowerPoint features, transitions can be simply previewed. By moving the
cursor to a thumbnail image, you will get the opportunity to have a look
at it in a larger size, but as soon as you move the cursor to another
transition, the preview of the previous one will be closed. When you have
decided which transition you need, then it is necessary to decide if you would
like it to be applied to the whole PowerPoint presentation. In this case you
should click <Apply to all>.
Now
let us switch to PowerPoint animation this
site. If you want to add an animation to your presentation slide, you
should select one object; afterwards click on the ribbon, so that you will be
able to have a look at animations which are available. It is obvious the choice
is not that big. If you need more animation effects, click <Animation
Group>. In such a simple way you will open a gallery of animation effects,
which are divided into theme categories, such as the entrance (it helps to
bring the selected object to the presentation slide), the emphasis (it helps to
give emphasis to the animation), the exit (it removes the object from the
presentation) and motion paths.
Previewing
of PowerPoint animations does not differ from the preview of any other features
of this program. When you place your mouse courser on the thumbnail image of
the animation, you will be able to have a look at it and think it over if you
should apply this animation to the PowerPoint slide template or choose another
one. You can play the animation as well. When you use the preview feature, it
allows you to see
how your presentation will change if you choose this or that animation effects.
Always be very careful, there should not be too much of animation effects. The
bottom <Preview> is situated on the left side of the Animation tab.
And
finally if you would like to remove the animation, you should click a dialogue
box and select <None>, which is situated on the top.
